Hello everybody! So, for the month of June, we are having Guest Post Month! :) We have some great posts in store for you, and can't wait to share them!
I decided to go first, and introduce my friend, Ania Pazio!
Thank you so much for posting, Ania! :)
My name is Ania. I'm a blogger and still-learning graphic designer from Poland. Jesus is my life and my passion is to know Him and make Him known. Some of my favorite things are sunsets, rain, coffee and good books. I blog at gemsofhisgrace.wordpress.com.
Trust. It definitely does not come naturally to us. We usually want to see everything, know what is coming, so that we can carefully plan and have all matters under control. That is the reason why when we don’t see the outcome of a hard situation or can’t at a given moment see the solution to a problem or make sense of the future, we feel uneasy.
The comforting fact is that, though we may know little or be uncertain about particular events in our lives – God is in control. He knows the plans He has for us. He lovingly preordained each element of our earthly journey here. All things work together for good for those who love Him.
The future may seem distant and uncertain. But God is Lord of the future. We are not meant to fret about it. We are to remain where we are, doing the things God has ascribed to us, without worrying about what the future will be, on the contrary, FOLLOWING CHRIST.
Following Christ means taking up one’s cross. It means giving up one’s self. It means completely submitting all of one’s plans, dreams and desires to God and letting Him shape the future. It means seeking after Christ with all of one’s heart, mind and soul. And guess what? By doing that we find that He leads the way. As we know more of Him, we grow in our trust in Him, taking all that He gives. To use the words of C.S. Lewis “Give up your self, and you will find your real self”.
To sum up I would like to quote Corrie ten Boom, a courageous woman, who had a hiding place in her home for Jews during WW2, as a result of which was later imprisoned, put in a concentration camp and then miraculously freed. Considering that, these words are of special significance: “When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.” We should not only trust when the sun is shining and there are no clouds in the sky. We should also trust when it gets darker and when the sun hides behind the clouds. We know then sun is still there. It has not ceased to exist. It will come out again. Full. We just need to wait. Trust. And walk on.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
